Action Is Still Not A Verb +download

In 2007 we released a Marcia Blaine album. There will be more writing about that at a different time, probably soon when it’s given away as a free download, but suffice to say it was a big deal for us at the time.
Around the launch time we played two gigs to coincide, one in Glasgow at the Sub Club for our friends Kinky Afro, and a second at the Luminaire in London as part of a Highpoint Lowlife showcase. One of these gigs went very well, maybe the best we ever played, and one went pretty badly. We only ever performed once more as a group after that.
To tie in with these gigs I had thought I’d record another mix in the series that started with the original Action Is Not A Verb. The idea was to have it as sort of an album sampler but also as a taster of what else we were working with – the seeds of us going in different directions were already sown.
That’s pretty much how it ended up. A fair amount of these tracks have been out elsewhere, sometimes in different versions, but it amuses me a bit to see that two of the tracks, three years on, are still sitting waiting to go on my long delayed (self delayed) new album.
We gave out 200 of these total, and yet i know of no one at all with a copy (even discogs claims no one has it). I dont even have an actual copy myself, and have lost the artwork, hence the generic picture top left. I’d be interested to know where they ended up.
